It’s still won’t play long duration music, such as comedy albums or audio books
due to some limitation, what a piece of junk feature.
If you can’t use it, then it’s worthless

Sue- Yes, the blackberry (8100) uses a 2.5mm plug instead of the normal 3.5mm(1/8″) headphone plug. I had to purchase a special (read expensive) set to listen, but it comes with the pause/ answer button and has a mic- it was weird the first time I recieved a call and they were in stereo.

Hey, not sure if this applies to the Pearl, but I discovered (quite accidentally) on my Curve that if I push N it will play the next track, and if I push P the previous track plays.

Also, if your songs have ID3 tags in them, you can just select Artist or Album, then select “All” in the next screen, it will play all the songs by the artist or in the Album, no need to do Play Folder.

Hi I am just learning how to use the mp3 player on my blackberry pearl. It was quite a learning curve to download the music on to the phone. It is finally done!
I just attempted to plug my headset into the phone and it does not fit. Is there a specific type of headphone jack that fits in this phone? Thanks Sue
