Now I have an urge to hit one of those outer pieces. I agree with you about the logo's and page icons. We should also mention that swoosh thing on the IE logo - an old fad that went out ages ago. It does make the logo look like a planet though. They could try to play that up more. I haven't downloaded Chrome yet myself.
